This took place on Saturday 5 March in Kilmallock, Co.Limerick. It had been hoped that we would have some women attending a planned ‘Come and See’ that day but despite a lot of advertising no-one was forthcoming. As a local priest commented – ‘Perhaps you have sown some seed.’ It is interesting that two other religious orders who also ran ‘Come and See’ days had no attendees either. These now offer days which offer opportunities to deepen one’s faith and prayer life. Another attempt to find a forum in Dublin for discussing vocations failed to attract any participants. However, those involved are not giving up and the events will continue in different venues in the Dublin Archdiocese. As a group we looked at trying new ways of helping young adults have opportunities to deepen their faith and discuss vocation.
Sisters reported back on the events that took place in recent months to mark the Year of Consecrated Life as well as attendance at the AGMs of Vocation Ireland and UK Vocations.
As we move towards our General Chapter later in the year we all felt it is important to continue promoting vocations as this is such an important work.
