Religious life as lived by a Sister of Charity of St. Paul is the total consecration of oneself to God in this Congregation which has a specific service in the Church as its call. The Novitiate normally leads to full membership in the Congregation expressed in the vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience. Profession of vows is the public expression of the reality of total commitment.
Formation does not end after the Novitiate but continues throughout life and primarily is the responsibility of the individual. During the time of Temporary Profession each Sister will be given opportunities to take up study/ training for her particular ministry. The period of Temporary Profession normally lasts for six years with vows being made annually for at least the first two years.
