At end of the Temporary Profession stage the Sister requests admission to Final Profession. Having spent at least six years in temporary vows the Sister spends some time in reflection before making her perpetual vows as a Sister of Charity of St. Paul. This time before making such a commitment is an important part of the discerning process. It gives the Sister the opportunity away from her everyday life so that she can prepare for her final vows without distractions.
The Final Profession of a Sister of Charity of St. Paul is a time of celebration and thanksgiving, not only for the Sister and her family, but for the whole Congregation and indeed the Church.
